Payment fees are the transaction fees charged by your payment providers.

Set payment fees under Costs → Payment Fees.

Where to find it

  • In the sidebar, open Costs.

  • Click Payment Fees.

How payment fees work

  • Venon detects the payment providers your customers actually use based on recent orders.

  • Providers can include card processors, PayPal, Klarna, Apple Pay, and others.

  • For each provider, enter what it charges you.

  • New providers appear automatically once you take an order through them.

Set a provider’s fees

  1. Find the provider in the Payment Fees table.

  2. Enter the Fixed Fee, which is the flat amount charged per transaction, for example 0.30.

  3. Enter the Percent Fee, which is the percentage charged per transaction, for example 1.4%.

  4. Click Save on the row.

Most processors charge a mix of both, such as 2.9% + 0.30. On a 100.00 order, 2.9% plus 0.30 creates a 3.20 payment fee.

Shopify Payments

  • If you use Shopify Payments, it appears as a provider with fees handled automatically.

  • You do not need to enter manual fees for Shopify Payments.

Fees that change over time

  • Use the calendar icon when a rate changed on a specific date.

  • A normal edit applies to orders going forward.

Where to find your real rates

  • Use rates from your provider’s pricing page, contract, or payment statements.

  • Rates can vary by provider, country, and card type.
