  3. Set up Klaviyo Recover.

  4. Connect your marketing platforms.

  5. Add the correct UTM parameters.

  6. Connect an AI assistant.

  7. Add product, shipping, and payment costs.

  8. Invite your team.

You can skip optional steps and return to them later by selecting Replay Onboarding.

Step 1: Connect Shopify

Click Connect Shopify and complete the Shopify installation for the shop you want to use with Venon.

Step 2: Activate the Venon theme app

Return to Venon and click the refresh icon to confirm that the tracking code is installed.

Step 3: Set up Klaviyo Recover

If you use Klaviyo, connect it to Venon and complete the Klaviyo Recover setup. You can select Skip for Now and return later.

Klaviyo Recover adds 50% more abandoned-flow revenue on average. Results vary by shop.

Step 4: Connect your platforms

Connect the services you use, including Meta Ads, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, TikTok Ads, Taboola, Outbrain, Klaviyo, and Checkout Champ. Venon uses these connections to combine ad spend and campaign data with tracked orders and profit.

You can connect the remaining platforms later from Venon settings.

Step 5: Set up UTM parameters

Choose each ad channel and copy the tracking template shown in Venon. Add it at the account level where the instructions tell you to.

Keep every ve_* parameter name exactly as shown. Renaming a parameter breaks tracking.

Step 6: Connect an AI assistant

The Venon AI Connector, powered by MCP (Model Context Protocol), lets ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor answer questions about your analytics and dashboard data in plain language.

Each AI Connector accesses one shop. Choose the intended shop during sign-in and create a separate connection for every additional shop. Follow the AI Connector guide for ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, and multi-shop setup.

Step 7: Add your costs

Add your costs so Venon can calculate profit instead of showing revenue alone:

  • Product costs: Your cost of goods for each product.

  • Shipping costs: Flat rates or shipping tiers.

  • Payment fees: Fees from providers such as PayPal. Shopify Payments fees are added automatically.

If you connected an AI assistant, you can also ask it to add or update product costs, shipping costs, and payment fees.

Step 8: Invite your team

Enter the email address, choose the right role, and click Send Invite. You can invite employees or your agency and give them access to the selected shop.
