Klaviyo Recover results and syncing

Read the Performance tab, use Sync Now, and see when Klaviyo revenue updates

Written by Venon

This article explains how to read your Klaviyo Recover results in Venon, what the sync buttons do, and when new Klaviyo revenue shows up. To set up Klaviyo Recover, see Klaviyo Recover.

1. Open the Performance tab

  1. Click Klaviyo Recover in the left sidebar.

  2. Click the Performance tab.

  3. Pick a date range in the date picker at the top.

Klaviyo Recover Performance tab with the 3 summary cards: Klaviyo Abandoned Flow Revenue, Additional Venon Revenue and Revenue Lift

At the top you see 3 cards:

  • Klaviyo Abandoned Flow Revenue: revenue from original Klaviyo flows that have a matching Venon flow.

  • Additional Venon Revenue: revenue from your Venon flows, the flows that end with (Venon). The line below shows how many configured flows are counted.

  • Revenue Lift: Additional Venon Revenue divided by Klaviyo Abandoned Flow Revenue. Total below it is both numbers added together.

Below the cards, Revenue Over Time shows both revenues per day.

If an original flow earned nothing in the range but its Venon flow did, the lift shows as +∞%.

You can select up to 1 year of data at a time.

2. Check each flow in the Flow Breakdown

  1. On the Performance tab, scroll down to Flow Breakdown.

Flow Breakdown table showing Flow Name, Klaviyo Abandoned Flow Revenue, Additional Venon Revenue and Lift for each flow

Each row normally pairs an original flow with its Venon flow. A Venon flow without a matching original can also appear, with original revenue shown as 0:

  • Flow Name: the name of your original Klaviyo flow.

  • Klaviyo Abandoned Flow Revenue: revenue from the original flow.

  • Additional Venon Revenue: revenue from the matching Venon flow.

  • Lift: Venon flow revenue divided by original flow revenue.

A flow is missing? Venon identifies its flows by the (Venon) name suffix and matches them to their original flow using a saved link or the original name. For a manually duplicated flow, name the copy like the original with (Venon) at the end. See Manually duplicating flows for Klaviyo Recover.

3. Sync your Klaviyo flows

Venon syncs your flow list from Klaviyo once a day. Use Sync Now when you created, renamed or changed a flow in Klaviyo and want to see it in Venon right away.

  1. Click Klaviyo Recover in the left sidebar.

  2. Click the Configure tab.

  3. Click Sync Now.

Configure tab with the Last synced time on the left and the Sync Now button on the right

On the left you see when the last sync finished, for example Last synced: 1 hour ago.

After you click Sync Now, you see Starting sync job.... This can take up to a minute. Then Syncing Klaviyo flows... shows a progress bar and the number of flows done.

You need an Admin or Editor role to start a sync. Venon prevents another flow sync from starting while one is already running for the same account.

Sync Now updates your flows, not your revenue. Revenue has its own schedule, see step 4.

Sync incomplete: Resume or Full Sync

If you have many flows, a sync can stop before it is done. You then see Sync incomplete with the number of flows synced and 2 buttons:

  • Resume (X remaining): starts a new sync. Flows that were not synced yet go first.

  • Full Sync: starts the same sync as Resume; it does not use a different sync mode.

In both cases, new flows and flows that were synced longest ago are synced first. Unfinished flows are prioritized on a later run, but errors or timeouts can still prevent completion.

Last sync ran into an issue

If you see Last sync ran into an issue or Sync couldn't start in time, click Try Again. If you do not have permission to sync, the next sync runs automatically. If the problem stays, chat with us.

4. Why today's revenue is missing

Venon only shows Klaviyo revenue for full days. Today is never included.

  • Venon pulls flow revenue from Klaviyo 2 times a day, at 06:00 and 18:00 UTC.

  • Each time, it loads the last 7 full days. A day ends at midnight in your Klaviyo account's time zone.

  • Yesterday is picked up by the next successful revenue-sync run after the day ends in your Klaviyo account’s timezone. Runs are scheduled 12 hours apart; job duration, API delays or failed runs can make the wait longer.

  • The last 7 days are loaded again on every update, because Klaviyo can still add orders to a flow after the day ends. So numbers for recent days can still change a bit.

If you open the Performance tab with Today selected, Venon switches the range to the last 7 days, ending yesterday.

The revenue comes from Klaviyo's own flow reporting. Venon prefers Shopify’s Placed Order metric, but can use another integration’s Placed Order metric if the Shopify metric is unavailable. It follows Klaviyo’s attribution, not Venon’s attribution models.

5. Monthly recap email

Venon schedules a monthly Klaviyo Recover recap on the 9th, covering the previous calendar month. Receiving the email depends on eligibility and successful delivery.

The email shows:

  • The month.

  • Your total additional revenue from Venon flows.

  • Your total lift.

  • A table per flow with Klaviyo revenue, additional Venon revenue and lift.

  • A View full dashboard link to your Klaviyo Recover page.

If you have more than 1 shop, each shop gets its own section. Shops where Venon flows earned no revenue that month are left out. If no shop had Venon flow revenue, no recap is sent.

The recap and Performance tab use the same Klaviyo revenue source, but include different flows. The recap includes linked original/Venon pairs, excludes deleted flows and leaves out pairs with no additional Venon revenue. Performance can include unmatched Venon flows and pairs with no additional revenue, so both revenue totals and the original-flow baseline used for lift can differ. Months are based on your Klaviyo account’s time zone.
