Send eligible Venon purchases back to Taboola server-to-server.
1. Set up Taboola tracking and connect Taboola
Add the Venon tracking parameters to your Taboola campaigns. Keep
tbclid={click_id}in the recommended tracking parameters. Venon can read the Taboola click ID fromtblcifirst, withtbclidas a fallback.Connect Taboola in Venon under Integrations with your Account Id, Client Id, and Client Secret.
Both steps are explained in Taboola.
2. Turn on the Conversion API
In Venon, go to Integrations.
On the Taboola card, click Manage.
Open the Server-to-Server tab.
For each ad account, turn on Use Conversion API.
Under Purchase Event, select an active purchase conversion whose event name in Taboola is
tp_purchase. The display name can be different. If you are unsure which conversion to use, contact Venon support before enabling sending. If your conversion is not in the list, click Click here to refresh the events. The list shows the active conversion rules in your Taboola account.
Click Save.
Venon currently sends only purchases to Taboola. You can leave Started Checkout Event and Add To Cart Event on Don't send.
3. What Venon sends
Venon checks every 10 minutes for orders from the last 24 hours that have not already been processed for ad-platform sending. Enabling this setting does not resend older orders.
A purchase is sent only when Venon can find a Taboola click ID for the order:
tblciis checked first, thentbclid. Orders without a matching Taboola click ID are not sent. Each purchase includes the order value and the order ID.
The current Taboola sender uses the fixed event name tp_purchase and sends currency as EUR. Selecting a different event in the dropdown does not change the sent event name. If your shop uses another currency or your purchase event has a different event name, contact Venon support before enabling this integration.
